My love for photography is somthing that has been with me since I can remember. I really got into sports photogrpahy when I was in college and able to be on the sidelines for all the games. I was never really interested in fine art photography. I just always like the challenge of trying to capture the action of the subject. I have also done some studio work and that had been fun, and great learning experience. But being a photography major and being forced to do things I didn't like took the fun away and I walked away from the camera. But four years later while stationed in Germany, the passion returned and I have been shoting almost everyday since then.
I have always had an interst in trying to do war photography. That is when I discoverd a photojournalist named James Nachtwey. After watching War Photographer I just want to mold myself in that direction. He has done some of the most amazing work, and I would just like the chance to help the cause he has be fighting for so many years. Photojournalism is something completly new to me, but I feel most at home behind a camera, and I welcome the challenge.
So this being my first site it is a little broad in its contents. This will change as I progress, and I hope you come to enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me.
